Cooking Courses for Hotel & Restaurant Chefs

Cooking classes will be taught in three (3) sessions.

Students are able to design preferred menu for course.

Time and date upon your preference.

Classes are taught in both English and Thai, dependent upon preference.

Minimum eight (8) students per class.

Fee per course – 2,900 Baht per person


Cooking class includes:

How to recognize good quality spices and their strength.
How spices compliment each other bringing good tasty results.
Roasting and storing of spices.
Essential and basic spices used in Indian cooking.


All classes will include:

A recipe folder
All the ingredients for cooking
An apron
A 500 Baht gift voucher to dine at Mrs Balbir’s
Full lunch or dinner included

Menu A

Steamed Idli
Steamed rice cakes made of black fermented lentils.

South Indian pancakes made of fermented batter.

Lentils cooked with vegetables and tamarind juice and spices.

Fried donut fritters made of lentils.

Coconut Chutney
Fresh grated coconut chutney cooked with chili, curry leafs and a variety of spices.

Menu B

Bombay Potatoes
Potatoes sautéed in curry leaves and a variety of spices.

Deep fried puffed bread.

Channa Masala
Chickpea curry cooked in Punjabi northern style.

Bhatura Bread
Deep fried leavened bread that goes well with the chickpea curry.

Masala Chai
Indian tea with spices.

Indian Omelette and Egg Bhurji
Scrambled egg and omelette with chili, onion coriander and spice.

Menu C

Tandoori Chicken Tikka
Pieces of boneless chicken, marinated in yogurt with spices and grilled.

Mint Chutney
A mint dip accompanies any kind of appetizer dish.

Butter Chicken
Tandoori chicken tikka slowly simmered in our gravy.

Mixed Raita
A yogurt side dish flavored with roasted spices and cubes of onion, potato and cucumber.

Chapatis / Plain Parathas / Stuffed Parathas
Light and healthy whole wheat grilled plain bread or stuffed that compliments most curries.
